Mowing Longer Grass!
With our lawn mowing and gardeing service, we have all the relavant and contemporary equipment needed to undertake any task. Therefore to mow your longer lawns we would firstly chose the right lawn mower to suit the length of your lawn. Then the cut length which would most likely be the highest cut. Once the mower is prepared we are ready to go.
The first strip will be the hardest and its important to monitor the revs, keeping them as high as possible and even right through the cut. The moment the revs begin to reduce, that is your que to stop moving forward and pull the mower backward directly over the strip you just made, causing a double cut.
As you move to the next strip, overlap with the first strip so only half of the lawn mower is over the long grass and repeat the process.
Using the Lawn Mower!
The magic and skill in mowing longer grass sits with the backward motion. As you pull the lawn mower backward on the second strip, the free space under the mower is where the cut grass will be pushed into the lawn mower catcher, without stalling your lawn mower.
Once your long lawn has been mowed, the most important thing is to not let your lawn grow to the same length again, but rather allow Pascoe Vale Lawn and Garden to provide a regular mowing service in order to maintain an appropriate length. As your lawn is mowed regularly, its health will improve and you have taken the first big step towards having a pristine lawn just like your neighbours.
That way, only half of the lawn mower base will be impacted by the long grass, allowing the revs to remain high, preventing the lawn mower from stalling. Once your lawn catcher is full which will become obvious, empty it before the mower stalls and repeat the process.
